KALIPI-PUP to hold Elementary Tutorial

The Kabataang Liberal ng Pilipinas – PUP Chapter (KALIPI-PUP) will hold an Elementary Tutorial Program every Saturday, starting on 8 to 29 September 2007, 1- 5 pm at the College of Engineering – Audio Visual Room (CE-AVR). It is open to all Grade 6 public elementary students.

The activity aims to teach and enhance students’ knowledge in English, Math and Science. It visions to prepare them to enter Science High School. Free modules and food are provided for it to be more convenient to the students.

“We want them to be prepared to a more competitive academic world especially on Science High School which may give more opportunity to students.” KALIPI-PUP President Cherry Mae de Asis said.

The program is being done in coordination with the College of Engineering – Junior Council Officers (CE-JCO) and Kapatiran ng Talino at Galing (KATAGA) PUP Honors Society.

KALIPI-PUP Participated in Student Organizations’ Management Strategic Planning

The Kabataang Liberal ng Pilipinas (KALIPI) – PUP Chapter participated in the College of Economics Finance and Politics (CEFP) Student Organizations’ Management Strategic Planning last 8 July 2007. It was held at the Gethsemane Prayer Mountain in Montalban Rizal, organized by the CEFP Alumni Association (CEFPAA).

The activity gathered student leaders from different organizations in CEFP and also from the University. It provided workshops and discussions on Leadership and in Effective Strategic and Communication Planning. Its aim was to teach the students the value of cooperation, collaboration, unity, teamwork and leadership in an organization. Read more

KALIPI PUP JOINS SEMINAR ON GLOBALIZATION

The Kabataang Liberal ng Pilipinas (KALIPI) participated in the on-line Liberal Leadership Training on Globalization offered by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation on 05 March- 01 April 2007. Six members of Kabataang Liberal ng Pilipinas were among the 55 participants chosen for the on-line phase of the program. Ace Gomez, Alex Sevilla, Fidel Esteban, Lawrence Villamar, Annabel Balendo and Donna Abadilla joined the regional on-line forum on various issues on Globalization, one of which is Poverty Alleviation.

KALIPI held Job Fair in PUP

The Kabataang Liberal ng Pilipinas held a job fair last 29 August 2006, 8:00 am – 3:00 pm at the Ground Floor, South Wing Lobby of Mabini Campus of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) at Sta. Mesa, Manila.

The Job Fair, dubbed as “Trabaho Alay sa Kabaataang PINOY”, aims to address the increasing unemployment among the youth by providing a venue for easy access to potential employers. Students from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), Unibersidad de Manila (UDM), Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM), University of the East (UE), and San Sebastian College – Recoletos (SSCR) attended the activity.
